Nature Exploration Summer Camp
BBCS Nature Exploration Camp is a fully outdoor program that focuses on respectful relationships with our world. We nurture each child's curiosity and promote leadership, independence, and self-esteem. Our program provides nature-based, place-based, and project-centric learning opportunities to preschool and elementary age children. Our philosophy is that children thrive ​when they can follow their interests and engage in relevant, relatable experiences. We believe all children need time to play and explore in natural environments free of judgement and adult direction in order to build skills, gain self-esteem, and foster connections with the world that will lead to a sustainable future for their generation.

​Location: 1 School Street Wilmington at the Beaver Brook Pavilion
Dates: 9 individual weeks, June 23 - August 22, 2025
Time/Days: Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm
Ages: 3-8 years*
Cost: $300 per week, some weeks include additional presenter and/or materials fees
*3 year old group is dropped off/picked up in the licensed childcare facility and is a separate program, message us directly to find out more or register your 3 year old

June 23-27: ​Movement and Music, +$20 presenter fee
June 30 - July 4: Foraging Skills
July 7-11: Outdoor Cooking, +$40 material fee (includes lunch)
July 14-18: Place-Based Studies
July 21-25: Life Cycles, +$20 presenter fee (OFFSITE at Natural History Museum on 7/25)
July 28 - August 1: Water and Aquatic Life (OFFSITE at Fairview Ave Picnic Area on 7/30, 7/31, and 8/1)
August 4-8: Nature Art
August 11-15: Storytelling and Puppetry with Sandglass Theater, +$30 presenter fee
August 18-22: Environmental Stewardship (OFFSITE at Fairview Ave Picnic Area on 7/30, 7/31, and 8/1)
